Description
Mesorb Absorb Dressing 10cm x 13cm
Mesorb Absorb Dressing 10cm x 13cm is a sterile, high-performance absorbent wound dressing designed to manage moderate to heavy exudate. With a superabsorbent core and breathable backing, this dressing helps protect the wound bed, reduce maceration and support a moist healing environment for surgical wounds, leg ulcers, pressure injuries and other exuding wounds.
Key benefits
- Superabsorbent core captures and retains moderate to heavy exudate, helping to reduce maceration.
- Breathable backing encourages a balanced moist wound environment and protects against external contaminants.
- Low-adherent wound contact layer reduces pain and trauma at dressing changes.
- Sterile, single-use format reduces infection risk and simplifies wound care protocols.
- Conforms to wound contours for better contact and reduced leakage.
- Compact 10cm x 13cm size suitable for many common wound sites.
Ingredients and Materials
Mesorb Absorb dressings typically feature a multi-layer construction: a highly absorbent core (superabsorbent polymer and cellulose), a non-adherent wound contact layer to minimise trauma on removal, and a breathable protective backing to reduce contamination while allowing moisture vapour transmission. The product is supplied sterile and is free from natural rubber latex. Always refer to the product label for the exact materials list and manufacturer information.
How to Use
- Wash hands and put on gloves. Cleanse the wound according to local protocol and gently dry surrounding skin.
- Open sterile pouch and centre the dressing over the wound bed with the absorbent pad directly contacting the wound.
- If the dressing has an adhesive border, smooth edges to secure. If non-adhesive, secure with appropriate tape, retention dressing or bandage.
- Change dressing according to exudate level, wound condition or healthcare professional guidance. Replace immediately if saturated, leaking or soiled.
- Dispose of used dressing as clinical waste. Single use only.
Who It’s For
Suitable for clinicians, carers and patients managing moderate to heavily exuding wounds including surgical wounds, venous and mixed leg ulcers, pressure injuries and other exudative wounds. Appropriate for acute and chronic wound management where exudate control and atraumatic removal are priorities. Use under the direction of a healthcare professional for complex wounds.
Caution & Storage
CAUTION: For external use only. Do not use on dry wounds without clinical advice. Seek professional advice for infected wounds, heavily bleeding wounds, exposed deep tissue or sinus tracts. Check for sensitivity to dressing components and discontinue if allergic reaction or severe irritation occurs. Not suitable as the sole treatment for heavily bleeding wounds—apply pressure and seek emergency care.
STORAGE: Store in original packaging in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Recommended storage temperature: 5–25°C. Keep out of reach of children. Single sterile use—do not re-sterilise or re-use.
