Healthease I.V Catheter Injection Port With Wings 14G
Healthease 14G I.V. Catheter with integrated injection port and stabilising wings provides fast, reliable vascular access for high-flow IV therapy, emergency resuscitation, blood transfusion and rapid fluid administration. Sterile and single-use, this winged IV catheter delivers secure fixation, clear flashback visibility and Luer-lock compatibility to support confident, efficient venous access in clinical and pre-hospital settings.
Key Benefits
- Large-bore 14G catheter for high-flow infusion, rapid fluid resuscitation and blood transfusion
- Integrated injection port for safe push-dose medication and bolus administration without disconnecting the line
- Stabilising wings for secure fixation and reduced dislodgement during patient movement
- Sterile, single-use design minimises infection risk and simplifies compliance with aseptic technique
- Transparent hub provides clear flashback for reliable placement confirmation; Luer-lock compatible for universal connection
Ingredients and Materials
Medical-grade materials designed for safe venous access: catheter cannula manufactured from biocompatible polyurethane or PTFE (Teflon) for flexibility and minimal vessel irritation; stainless steel introducer needle; polypropylene/ABS hub and wings; silicone septum on the injection port. Sterile, latex-free and single-use. Colour-coded hub for quick gauge identification.
How to Use
Use only by trained healthcare professionals following institutional protocols:
- Perform hand hygiene and apply aseptic technique. Prepare and drape the insertion site.
- Select an appropriate vein and assess patient condition; apply tourniquet if needed.
- Insert the introducer needle with bevel up; watch for blood flashback to confirm vessel entry.
- Advance the catheter over the needle into the vein, then withdraw the needle safely into the cannula housing.
- Secure the wings to the skin with adhesive dressing and connect infusion set or Luer-lock device.
- Use the integrated injection port for bolus medication as required, and flush with saline per protocol. Dispose of used needle in a sharps container.
Who It’s For
Designed for clinicians, emergency medical technicians, paramedics, nurses and surgical teams who require rapid, high-flow intravenous access. Ideal for adult patients needing resuscitation, large-volume fluid administration, blood transfusion, rapid medication bolus or short-term vascular access in emergency, critical care, operating theatre and pre-hospital environments.
Caution & Storage
Caution: For single use only. Do not use if sterile packaging is damaged. Inspect device and expiry date prior to use. Monitor insertion site for signs of infiltration, phlebitis, infection or extravasation. Use aseptic technique and follow institutional guidelines for vascular access. Not for long-term use; remove if compromised or after recommended dwell time. Dispose of needles and cannulae in approved sharps containers.
Storage: Store in original packaging in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep out of reach of unauthorized personnel. Follow local disposal and infection control regulations.
