Ingredients and Materials

BSN Cuticell paraffin gauze is constructed from soft, open-weave cotton gauze impregnated with purified white soft paraffin (petrolatum). The product is supplied sterile and individually packaged in 10 x 40 cm pouches. Materials: 100% cotton gauze base, petrolatum impregnation. Free from added antiseptics—suitable as a non-adherent primary dressing.

How to Use

1. Perform hand hygiene and wear gloves as clinically indicated.
2. Cleanse the wound according to local protocol.
3. Open the sterile pouch and apply the paraffin side of the gauze directly to the wound or suture line.
4. Cover with a suitable secondary absorbent dressing if the wound is exuding; secure with tape or bandage.
5. Change dressing as directed by a clinician. The non‑adherent gauze helps minimise pain and tissue trauma at dressing changes.
6. Single use only—discard after removal.
